The Consulate General of Bangladesh, Hong Kong organized an Eid Reunion-2025 and entertainment program for Bangladeshi remittance warriors (female and male workers) working in Hong Kong in the beautiful surroundings of Tai Po Waterfront Park, Hong Kong.
The program was hosted by Mr. Zahidur Rahman, First Secretary (Labor), and was attended by the Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate General, Hong Kong, Mr. Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur as the chief guest. The program was attended by the President and General Secretary of Bangladesh Association of Hong Kong, other leaders and members, officials and employees of the Consulate and about 120 employees.
The program began with the recitation of the holy scriptures. In the first part of the program, the remittance warriors participated in various fun games organized for them. Later, in the discussion part, the employees shared their feelings and success stories as well as some problems related to dismissal from service, which were assured to be resolved by the consulate. Consul General Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur, after exchanging Eid greetings with the employees, advised the employees to work according to the rules of Hong Kong and instructed them to send remittances through legal channels instead of sending remittances through hundi or any other illegal means. He urged the consulate to inform the consulate if they needed any assistance. The importance of sending remittances through legal channels was discussed in the discussion of the invited guests, the employees were encouraged to send remittances through legal channels and were encouraged to register in the expatriate pension scheme. Honorable Chief Advisor Dr. Under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus, the employees were informed about the various facilities and services provided to the expatriates at the airport, including the expatriate lounge.
In the second part of the program, an entertaining and enjoyable cultural program, sports prize distribution and raffle draw were organized with the participation of the employees. Lunch and afternoon snack were organized for all the participants of the program. The participating employees expressed special thanks and gratitude to the Bangladesh Consulate for providing the opportunity to celebrate Eid in the expatriate life and for organizing such a sincere and joyful program and requested to continue organizing such programs
