The Bangladesh Embassy in Copenhagen celebrates the 52nd Victory Day of Bangladesh.

The Great Victory Day was celebrated with due solemnity and enthusiasm at the Bangladesh Embassy in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. In the morning, Bangladesh Ambassador to Denmark  K. M. Shahidul Karim inaugurated the day-long program by hoisting the national flag. After that, in the presence of all the officers and employees in the embassy hall, the speeches of the President, Prime Minister, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs were read out on the occasion of the day.

In the evening a special discussion program was organized in the embassy auditorium. The event was attended by Bangladeshi expatriates in Denmark, political figures as well as people from all walks of life.

At the beginning of the program, a minute’s silence was observed to pay respect to the martyrs of the Great Liberation War. After that, the ambassador placed a wreath on the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. During the discussion, the expatriates spontaneously participated in the open discussion on Victory Day and all expressed their strong commitment to contribute to the construction of Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla.
