The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen received in audience, the Secretary General of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi, at the Headquarters of OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on22 January 2019.
The two sides expressed satisfaction at the current level of bilateral relationsexisting between their two organisations whilereviewing the progress realized on the implementation of the various joint projects, aimed at rapid socio-economic and trade development of their member states.
They also agreed to work expeditiously in the field of trade data, electronic commerce, infrastructure skill development, women empowerment, support Palestinian refugees, among others.
The two sides agreed to closely monitor the implementation of the agreed projects between the OIC General Secretariat and UNCTAD General Secretariat.
