M. Amanul Haq is the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Türkiye.

The government has decided to appoint Mr. M. Amanul Haq as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Türkiye. He’ll be replacing Ambassador Mr. Mosud Mannan in this capacity.

Ambassador-designate Mr. M. Amanul Haq is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS)-Foreign Affairs cadre. He’s currently serving as the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry, a position he’s been holding since 2020. Joining the service in 1999, Mr. Haq has served the government in various capacities both at home and abroad. He started his diplomatic career as Consul and Deputy Head of Mission at the Bangladesh Consulate General in New York.

Later on, he joined the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Headquarters in Jeddah on secondment where, after a significant stint, he eventually rose to the position of Acting Director General of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Secretary-General. In return, he assumed the position of Director General at the Ministry.

Mr. M. Amanul Haq obtained his Master’s in International Relations from Dhaka University and had undergone higher studies and training in France, the Netherlands, and Norway. In his personal life, he’s married and blessed with two daughters.
