The designated High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia presented his letter of credentials to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.

The newly appointed High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia, Mr. F.M. Borhan Uddin has presented his Letter of Credence to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency the Honorable MS SAM MOSTYN AC in an official ceremony at the Government House in Canberra this morning. Upon arrival at the Governor House, the High Commissioner was received by Mr. Jonathan Muir, Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia.

The Governor General welcomed Mr. F.M. Borhan Uddin and wished him success in his new assignment. The High Commissioner conveyed the warm greetings of the President, the Chief Adviser and people of Bangladesh to the Governor General. The Governor General reciprocated the same feelings. The Governor General then invited the High Commissioner to his study for exclusive discussion. They exchanged views on issues of bilateral and multilateral interests.

Mr. Gerald Martin PSM, Official Secretary to the Governor General and Foreign Minister’s representative Ms. Catrina Cooper, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and officials of the Bangladesh High Commission, Canberra were present at the ceremony.
