Canadian University of Bangladesh and Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 17th June 2019 (Monday) before conducting a Seminar on ‘Higher Studies opportunity in UTP’ at the auditorium of the University.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Canadian University of Bangladesh and Prof Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia signed the MoU on behalf of their respective Universities.
Academic partnership, Credit transfer, Resource sharing are the main issues of this MoU. UTP is the only Malaysian Private University to secure their position in the top 100 in the QS World University Ranking (Asia) and one of the top few Universities in Malaysia to get 6* rating.
Among the UTP Delegates, Professor Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar – Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Associate Professor Dr. Jafreezal Jaafar – Dean, Faculty of Science & Information Technology and Mr Ahmad Zamdi A Hamid – Senior Executive, Admission & Records, Registrar’s office were present during the MOU Signing Ceremony.
Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Canadian University of Bangladesh Chaired the program. Mr. Shahnul Hasan Khan, Executive Chairman, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Mr. Bahauddin Muhammad Isa, Acting Registrar of CUB were present in the ceremony.
The program was supervised by Dr. MD Shahrukh Adnan khan, Dean (Acting), School of Science and Engineering and Head of EEE Dept. jointly with the Director, International Affairs and Director MBA/EMBA Programs, Dr. Mamoon Al Bashir. Faculty members of CUB as well as students from all Departments were present in the ceremony.
