Canadian University Steers SPP Discussion in Toronto for Facilitating Student Migration to Canada

Founder and Chairman of Canadian University of Bangladesh Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat recently organized a meeting between high level diplomats, eminent businessmen and key stakeholders focusing on Student Partnership Program (SPP) between Bangladesh and Canada. The meeting was held recently in Toronto, Canada. High Commissioner of Canada in Bangladesh, H.E. Benoit Préfontaine and High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Canada H.E. Mizanur Rahman graced the event as Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively.

SPP is an arrangement that provides quick and easy visa for studying in Canada. Canadian High Commission had previously entered into SPP arrangements with India and China which facilitated thousands of students from these two countries.

A large number of Bangladeshi students apply for studying in Canada each year but significant number of these applications get declined as students are unable to meet eligibility criteria. Once implemented, the proposed SPP in Bangladesh will result in faster visa processing, less documentation and streamlined admission and visa guidelines for all SPP participating institutions.
