This afternoon Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended a joint interactive event titled ‘Showcasing Bangladesh’s Journey from Digital to Smart Bangladesh’ at the Foreign Service Academy. This event co-hosted by the UNDP and ICT Division has showcased the transformative “Digital Bangladesh” initiative and the pivotal role of a2i (Aspire to Innovate) in revolutionizing the country’s digital infrastructure and services. Hon’ble State Minister for Posts & Telecommunications and Information Technology Mr. Zunaid Ahmad Palak, M.P. gave an introductory presentation at the event.
The event explored the significant digital sector advancements over the past 15 years and the vision to evolve into a “Smart Bangladesh” by 2041. It highlighted Bangladesh’s commitment to technological advancements and societal well-being, fostering global collaboration for digital inclusivity. After the discussion session, HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and other guests visited innovative e-centres and experienced the work of different digital organizations and systems.
