The new German Ambassador here in Bangladesh H.E Peter Fahrenholtz presented his credentials to the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on September 19. President Abdul Hamid welcomed the ambassador and hoped that the bilateral relations with the countries will further be expanded during their respective assignments here, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS. President told the German Ambassador, “There are lots of possibilities to enhance the existing good relations between the two countries. Germany has also many scopes to invest here,” Praising the socio-economic development of Bangladesh, especially the present GDP rate, the German ambassador said the 7.86 percent GDP is really a big achievement of the Bangladesh government. The ambassador hoped that the international quarter would continue its effort to resolve the Rohingya crisis.
