The South Asia Fall Tour 2019 University Fair hosted by the U.S. Embassy Dhaka on September 7, 2019, at Radisson Blu Dhaka.

On Saturday, September 7,U.S. Embassy’s EducationUSA Student Advising Center will host the South Asia Fall Tour 2019 University Fair at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel.  Representatives from 26 U.S. universities will attend, including from Drew University, George Mason University, Hofstra University, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, University of Houston-Victoria, and University of South Florida.  The 2019 Fall Tour will begin in Bangladesh before continuing to Nepal and other South Asian countries throughout September.

The South Asia Fall Tour 2019 presents a unique opportunity for students to interact face-to-face with representatives from 14U.S. universities as well as a consortium representing 12 other universities.  The 26 U.S. universities represented at the fair are accredited institutions recognized by EducationUSA, part of the U.S. Department of State.  (See the attachedlist of participating institutions.)

During the fair, which is free and open to all from across Bangladesh interested in studying in the United States, students will have the chance to discuss U.S. higher education opportunities, areas of studies and programs, and financial aid opportunities – all in one place.The fair will also include an informational session about the U.S.student visa process, a discussion on higher education studies in the United States, and a bilingual panel event with Bangladeshi alumni of U.S. universities sharing their U.S. experiences. 

The South Asia Fall Tour 2019 aims to facilitate international student access to U.S. higher education institutions by bringing together U.S. universities committed to internationalization with qualified, motivated, and well-prepared students from the local community. 

EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 425 international student advising centers in 178 countries.  The network promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited institutions in the United States.  EducationUSA also provides services to the U.S. higher education community to help institutional leaders meet their recruitment and campus internationalization goals. 

EducationUSA advising servicesand reference materials are available across Bangladeshat the American Center at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, the Edward M. Kennedy Center for Public Service and the Arts in Dhanmondi, and the American Corner in Chittagong.  EducationUSA reference libraries and remote advising services are also accessible at the American Corners in Khulna, Sylhet, and Rajshahi.  All of EducationUSA’s services are free of charge.
